An hour and a half massage save residents of noisy New Yorkers from daily stress and nervous breakdowns. The technique, imported from Japan, turned out to be so effective that they are registered for the procedure two months in advance. But is it really beneficial?
More than 430 thousand applicants have signed up for the Goku Kimochi salon chain in Japan. They say that a head massage, which is done here, relieves fatigue accumulated for months in an hour and a half.
Subdued lights and soothing music immerse visitors in a trance state. In the first 10 minutes of the massage, they fall asleep. Then, for the following hour and a half, they are fully restored for an active life in a big city.
Atsumi Kennedy decided to open a similar salon in New York about 10 years ago. She used to be an accountant. She says she was overworked at work and could not find a spa where they could do an excellent head massage. ‘’Then I decided to open my own”.
“People in New York are under constant stress. Therefore, I dreamed of opening a salon for such clients. It would be nice if people here said that they managed to get rid of stress,” says Atsumi Kennedy.
The salon has its own, developed here and patented, head and shoulder massage technique, which helps clients go deep into a profound sleep and relax better than in their own bed.
