Banana is rich in many nutrients. It contains potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B6, and dietary fiber. In a ripe banana, the amount of these nutrients does not change. But when the fruit ripens, the starch in its composition turns into sugar. Therefore, the banana becomes much sweeter over time. This does not mean that green bananas are healthier than yellow ones.
