4 Psychological Practices That Will Fill Your Life With Boss

Surprisingly, thinking about death will help you become happier, but a comfortable life will not. Read along to find out more.

1. Imagine life without what you love

Negative visualization is a representation of a life without dear people and things. Not the most enjoyable thought experiment, but it is very beneficial.

For example, you live in a flood-prone area. Imagine that your house and all your belongings are flooded. This practice will help you look at life differently. You will understand that any day in which nothing bad happened is a gift and a happy event in itself.

You will become more relaxed about things that annoy you. Even the crying of a newborn baby and sleepless nights will become more pleasant; one can only imagine that tomorrow the baby will be gone.

2. Realize your mortality

We are terribly afraid of death. But there is no benefit to being fearful of what will naturally and sooner or later overtake everyone. Surprisingly, to be happy now, it is important to understand that you are going to die. And benefit from it.

Imagine that the doctor gave you a disappointing diagnosis, and you have six months to live. It will cheer you up and help you understand where you are spending your life. Look at yourself, family, activities, and hobbies differently. Ask yourself, would you spend the last days of your life at your work, in your environment, doing your usual things? Consider whether your lifestyle brings happiness. If not, change it!

Thinking about your own death will change the way you think about life. Perhaps considering death as a real prospect, you will make new decisions. Make the move you lacked the guts to make. You will begin to really live and not exist in the delusions that you still have a lot of time left.

3. Don't try to keep everything under control

Our actions are the only thing we truly have control over. The rest is beyond our control. We only mistakenly believe that we are influencing the situation. It is important to realize this and get rid of unnecessary anxiety to become a happy person.

You cannot enjoy life, constantly worrying about things that do not even depend on you.

Keep this in mind when setting your next goal. Link the goal's achievement only with what you can control - by your own efforts, and separate it from the final result beyond your control.

For example, say to yourself, "I have to prepare well for the interview to get a job," rather than "I need this job." Instead of saying "I need a girlfriend," try "I have to be an interesting conversationalist, an attentive and caring man to become attractive."

4. Give up the usual comfort sometimes

The more comfortable life is, the more unhappy a person is. Good quickly becomes boring and ceases to please. To feel happy, you have to increase the number of things that give this feeling constantly. There is, however, a quicker and more effective method.

Periodically limit yourself to simple things in order to understand how pleasant it is to have them in life.

For example, stop eating too much from time to time. After fasting days, you will gladly take up the usual dishes that you considered boring a couple of days ago.
