How to Block Someone on Linkedin

On Linkedin, one can create a series of personal and professional contacts of great interest. However, if you want to block someone so that they cannot see your profile, send you messages, you can do it quickly and easily.

Step One

First things first, log into your account and search for the profile of this specific person.

When your profile is in front of you, you must pass the cursor over the downward arrow; This arrow points in the direction of the blue-highlighted option "Send a message," as we show you in the screenshot.

Step Two

When you put the cursor over this arrow, different options will be shown in a drop-down menu that appears: the "Block or Report" option will be the very last one you see; clicking it will allow you to block the contact on Linkedin.

Step Three

Next, a box will pop up in the middle of the screen that indicates the two possible options that you can choose: either block or report. Along with them, Linkedin offers you a series of explanations so that you are aware of the potential outcomes of your decision.

Step Four

You should also know that you won't be able to do the following:

  • You will not be able to access his profile on Linkedin, nor will he be able to consult yours.
  • You will not be able to send any message to him, nor he to you.
  • You will stop being connected to your network of contacts.
  • The validations and recommendations from that contact would be removed from your profile on Linkedin.
